West Lancashire Council has installed a range of Vision Techniques’ safety products on its fleet of vehicles.

The project means the Council’s fleet of smaller vehicles are utilising VT Record Systems with 360 Vision for vehicles over 6tonnes.

The Council has also installed Vision Techniques’ Turnaware, Turnalam on vehicles over 16tonnes.

Each system has been designed to enhance the safety of other road users and pedestrians, but pairing the systems with a Vision Techniques’ 360 all-round vision CCTV system will enhance driver visibility.

Neil Shacklady, Fleet Service Manager at West Lancashire Borough Council, said: “As a public body, we have a responsibility to ensure the safety of road users, and rightly so, but driver safety is paramount, and the recording systems help us achieve that objective.

“Road user and driver safety is a responsibility we take very seriously, and that’s why we partner with Vision Techniques. Their systems are vital in minimising risk and increasing safety standards.”
