VT BANKSMAN has been developed using state of the art FMCW technology (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) for 100% accurate detection.

Whether you require reverse or forward detection we can tailor the system to suit. The radar can be programmed with customised detection patterns tailored to suit your vehicle or application and is able to detect hazards up to 25m from the position of the radar.

VT BANKSMAN recognises objects that have entered into the programmable fields which are set up into three detection zones, the driver is given three distinct warnings via in-cab visual and audible alarms that increase with intensity the closer the hazard gets to the vehicle, giving the driver ample time to react.

The implementation of speed and direction sensing makes unwanted and irritating false alarms a thing of the past and ultimately create the safest radar system on the market.

VT BANKSMAN AUTOBRAKING has been developed using state of the art FMCW technology (Microwave Radar) for 100% accurate detections.  The system is programmed with tailored customised detection zones to suit your vehicle or application. The spread and length of the beam can be set to the width of your vehicle or up to 25m in length.

It recognises potential hazards that enter into the programmed detection zones. Giving three distinct warnings to the driver via audible and visual displays which increase with intensity the closer the vehicle gets to the object, giving the driver enough time to react, however, should the driver not react to the alarms VT BANKSMAN AUTOBRAKING will automatically apply the breaks to bring the vehicle to a controlled stop.

Should the driver, who is now aware of the hazards, still need to reverse, a manual over-ride button can be used. This button will activate the over-ride mode, disabling the braking portion of the system for that period of reverse. The unit will still give an audible warning.

The implementation of speed and direction sensing makes unwanted and irritating false alarms a thing of the past and for full accountability, the BLB (Brake Logic Box) logs all range changes, brake activations, overrides and faults, therefore should an incident occur the system can be reviewed to find out the route cause ultimately creating the safest radar system on the market.

VT VMS AUTOBRAKING recognises objects that have entered into the programmable fields which are set up into three detection zones, the driver is given three distinct warnings via in-cab visual and audible alarms that increase with intensity the closer the hazard gets to the vehicle, giving the driver ample time to react.  Should the driver not respond to the alerts the system will automatically bring the vehicle to a controlled stop. Once autobraking has been applied should the driver need to manoeuvre closer to an object a manual over-ride button can be used, allowing additional manoeuvres to take place.

24GHz radar

Our 24Ghz radar uses three pre-set beam detection patterns to alert the driver of hazards entering the zones. The system incorporates in-cab visual and audible alarms alerting the driver giving them enough time to react, therefore reducing the risk of a collision.  Suitable for vehicles that required longer detection than that provided by ultrasonic detection.

VT 24GHz  radar comes with three prefixed fixed detection patterns

Narrow – 2.5m width – 4m length

Medium 4m width – 6.5m length

Wide – 6m width – 7m length

The system can be set to constant use or can be triggered when the reverse gear is activated.

Narrow detection zone has a 3 stage alert and medium and wide has a five-stage alert tone via an easy to read in-cab visual display giving the driver ample warning and time to react to the hazard.

This 24 Ghz radar is suitable for worldwide use across all types of vehicles, because of its compact footprint is unobtrusive and  can be fitted to all types of vehicles even vehicles where previous radar units may not have been suitable

Installation times are reduced due to the plug and play connections, so downtime of your vehicles is significantly reduced, keeping your vehicles in action for longer.
