VT STOPSAFE – Shorlisted for an innovation award
VT STOPSAFE RECOGNISED FOR ITS INNOVATION
We are excited to announce that our emergency braking system VT STOPSAFE has reached the finals of the National Recycling Awards in their innovation category. For over 20 years the awards have been on a mission to find, recognise and celebrate those making a difference in the recycling and waste management industry, so we are really excited to be recognised.
VT STOPSAFE is one of our latest innovations that allows the crew to bring the vehicle to a controlled stop in an emergency situation should the driver become ill or incapacitated and stops the vehicle becoming out of control. We are the only company to offer this type of innovation to help safeguard and protect crews, the vehicle, other road users and the general public from the devasting effects that can result from an out of control vehicle. The team have worked tirelessly to bring VT STOPSAFE to the market and worked closely with the VCA to gain approval, something we are extremely proud.
The innovation category is an extremely high standard, with some very strong entries to we will have everything crossed when the winner is announced on the 15th December 2020 at London’s Hilton Park Lane Hotel. For more information on the 2020 finalist
Many councils around the UK have had VT STOPSAFE installed across their fleets and the product has had extensive coverage from the press. BBC Scotland and STV both featured the product on their 6 pm news bulletins after Westdunbartonshire council fitted VT STOPSAFE to their fleet of RCV’s. Read our case study
