BrakeSafe – Removing the risk of Runaways

Motor Transport Award winner BrakeSafe will feature at the event with technical sessions demonstrating how the rollaway system can integrate with existing and new technology installed onto the vehicle. BrakeSafe will prevent rollaways by automatically applying the brake if the vehicle operator forgets to and then attempts to leave the vehicle. A voice warning will also give instructions to apply the brake and reset the system.

Live demonstrations will again be held showcasing BrakeSafe, StopSafe and Banksman. StopSafe is the latest addition to the range of safety products offered by Vision Techniques.

“We call it VT StopSafe, effectively the system reduces the vehicle’s speed while simultaneously bringing it to a controlled stop using the braking system. The system is activated using a secure emergency button installed to the vehicle dashboard, allowing the crew to react to an emergency situation,” explains Nigel Armstrong, Technical Manager at Vision Techniques.
