VT Side Alert™
What is VT Side Alert™?
Prevent your large vehicles from hitting cyclists and pedestrians with VT Side Alert™.
There are more cyclists and pedestrians on the UK roads than ever before, often listening to music with headphones on.
They may not be concentrating or even have distorted noise perception.
VT Side Alert™ helps eliminate this problem using blind spot proximity sensors and warning alerts for both cyclists and vehicle operators.
As a vehicle turns left, the sensors will detect obstacles alongside it and emit an audible warning to alert the driver as well as a speaking alarm to cyclists or pedestrians.
In addition to the audible alarms, VT Side Alert™ can include an LED light board fitted on the side of the vehicle close to the cab, positioned at a convenient height in order to attract the attention of cyclists and pedestrians.
VT Side Alert™ warning system cleverly combines two audible alarms, both for the driver and the cyclist or pedestrian.
Should the proximity sensor detect obstacles along the side of a left turning vehicle, the driver will hear an audible alarm.
Pedestrians and cyclists will hear a speaking alarm, with the warning “Caution! Vehicle turning left”.
Visible LED light boards can be included for an additional warning.
VT Side Alert™ is activated when the driver engages the left hand indicator switch.

How does it fit on the vehicle?
The four sensors and talking alarm are mounted down the nearside of the vehicle. The driver warning is positioned in the cab.
And the system is wired into the left hand indicator, power fed from a 24V ignition supply.
