How does it work?

Driver ID monitors your on/off ignition and controls your engine, allowing you to easily manage your vehicle operatives.

All operators have a uniquely numbered RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) Tag.

Driver ID is programmed to only permit drivers with authorised tags to start your vehicles.

The RFID control unit will not allow anyone to operate a vehicle until an authorised driver is in range of the detectors.

When a valid tag is within range, Driver ID will allow the engine to start.

Should the driver leave the vehicle with the engine running, the unit will recognise the valid driver as having left a vehicle unattended and shut down the vehicle.

This only occurs if the vehicle is parked and in neutral.

The same facility is used to ensure vehicles do not stand idle for long periods of time.

After shutting the engine off, Driver ID will monitor an idle input for longer than five minutes.
