What is Reversing Radar?

Reversing radar systems are essential to prevent potential accidents. They constantly remind drivers to be aware of hazards at all times.

In 1988, when Vision Techniques was born, the only way to reverse when operating large vehicles was to use mirrors.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s exceptional strides towards reversing safety were made - with the introduction of mobile CCTV systems as the most effective option.

Rear vision cameras have been fitted as a standard feature on many vehicles in both on and off-road applications for many years now.

But recent accidents have proven that drivers can become complacent or be distracted and not use the monitor screen as a fundamental part of a reverse maneuver - as they should.

Vision Techniques’ award-winning range of intelligent reversing radar systems have been developed to provide a reliable, audible and visual reminder to drivers to look at their monitor screens to identify hazards.
