Vision Techniques becomes a finalist for one of the most prestigious vehicle safety awards in Britain

Vehicle safety specialist, Vision Techniques, has become a finalist for the prestigious CIWM Awards for its dedication to excellence in vehicle safety.

In recognition of the innovative Crew Safe Range, Vision Techniques has been nominated for the CIWM Awards for Environmental Excellence 2011 in the category of Health & Safety Best Practice.

The award ceremony, which takes place at the Grosvenor Square Marriott Hotel, London, on November 10, attracts some of the biggest names in the industry, including technology suppliers and vehicle manufacturers.

Hosting the event with be the award-winning comedian, actor and impressionist, Alistair McGowan.

The other finalists for the award are Enfield Council and Grundon Waste Management.

Michael Hanson, Managing Director for Vision Techniques, said: “The CIWM awards is a very prestigious event and we are delighted to, once again, be chosen as finalists.”

The Chartered Institution of Waste Management (CIWM) is the professional body, which represents waste professionals working in the sustainable waste and resource management sectors worldwide.

It sets the professional standards for individuals working in the industry and has various grades of membership determined by education, qualification and experience.

Vision Techniques’ Crew Safe Range also recently won the Health and Safety Innovation Award at the Plant and Waste Recycling Show 2011.

The range is nationally recognised as essential to helping fleet managers prevent potential accidents and helping base and vehicle operators to communicate easily.

Bringing together a variety of innovative Vision Techniques products, the Crew Safe Range of products is also guaranteed save councils a substantial amount of money.

It includes Banksman Radar and Auto Braking, for reversing safety, VT-Live, for 360° vehicle recording, and Zone Safe II, for vehicle management.
