Vision Techniques returned to the Commercial Vehicle show once again last week, exhibiting alongside some of the best in the transport and logistics industry.
Renault, Ford, Mercedes, Volvo and DAF were just some of the industry-leading exhibitors showcasing their brand new offerings at the Birmingham NEC’s three-day event, along with us here at Vision Techniques.
Vision Techniques were proud to be exhibiting once again at the most comprehensive road freight transport, distribution and logistics show in Britain.
What’s more, the event was our most successful to date too – with wide-ranging interest in all the products we brought along with us.
With cyclist safety playing a huge part in today’s road safety efforts, we decided to focus our efforts on showcasing Vision Techniques products developed for this purpose.
Despite cyclist safety making the news of late it turned out that we were in fact the only company at the show that had invested in it for the event – meaning a huge number of visitors were extremely interested in what we had to say.
Considering the issue of cyclist safety we decided to showcase the following products:
TurnSign – The illumination warning sign was designed specifically for waste vehicles, but is suitable for any large vehicle.
TurnSign has been developed by us in-house and as a standard says ‘’CYCLISTS – WARNING’, but the bespoke nature of the product means we can tailor it to say anything you want.
The Turnsafe range – The wider TurnSafe range also includes TurnCamera and TurnAlarm.
The former increases blind spot visibility while the latter alerts cyclists and pedestrians of your presence with high intensity LED lights and a speaker alarm system.
We actually provided a full demo of all TurnSafe products at the event, which resulted in an enormous amount of interest in the VT TurnAlarm product in particular.
We also revealed a brand new “slimline” design of the TurnAlarm, which has been specifically commissioned for smaller vans and HGV’s, to be side mounted on the door of the vehicle.
The event also gave us the opportunity to unveil our latest creation, VT TurnAware. This new product was fitted to the display stand and was operating live for everyone to see in action.
VT TurnAware was designed to detect moving objects, making a driver aware of what’s around them.
At the event itself, the product was set up to detect people walking past the stand, with live data being displayed on large screens – much to the delight of the show’s visitors.
About the event, Dominic Benabda, Marketing Manager at Vision Techniques, says:
“We are really impressed with the amount of interest there has been in cyclist safety, especially with CLOCS, Crossrail and FORS being so prominent.
This year’s Commercial Vehicle Show has probably been the busiest yet and we can’t wait to follow up on the many leads we picked up from this truly successful event.”
