Vision Techniques win the Best Innovation CIWM Award three years in a row

Vehicle safety company Vision Techniques have broken all the records by being the first company to win the Best Innovation in Vehicle, Plant and Equipment Award for three years in a row at the CIWM Awards.

Blackburn based company, Vision Techniques, put their vehicle security system VT IDent forward for the CIWM Award this year.

VT IDent adds a level of security to a vehicle through the use or programmable ‘authorisation’ tags. The VT Ident:DriveStop system provides vehicle control in a specific section of the vehicle such as access to the vehicles handbraking and engine system.

Vision Techniques have now won the Best Innovation award for the third time with TurnAware winning in 2015, BrakeSafe winning in 2016 and now VT IDent winning in 2017. The succession of awards really boasts the company’s focus on innovating lifesaving systems for vehicles. This is the first time in the history of the CIWM Awards that a company has won the Best Innovation award three years in a row.

“To win this award for the third year in a row is astonishing, and we are the first company to do it. The companies and councils that have used the IDent system have given us fantastic feedback and highlighted that it is a unique safety system in the market,” said James Newhill, Sales Manager at Vision Techniques.

Vision Techniques was up against great competition with Dennis Eagle and Aebi Schmidt being some of the other companies to be nominated for this award. The CIWM Awards took place on the 2nd November 2017 at the Grosvenor Square Marriott in London, and was attended by many of the major players in the industry.

“Winning this award for the third time is a great achievement for Vision Techniques. For the past 29 years, our focus has been to pioneer safety systems which reduce heavy vehicle accidents and ultimately save lives.” Explained Michael Hanson, Founder of Vision Techniques. “We are the first company to win a prestigious CIWM Award three years in a row and it is something that every member of the Vision Techniques family has helped to achieve and should be very proud of.”
