The new BrakeSafe system created by Vision Techniques is being officially launched to the Bus and Coach industry at the Euro Bus Expo this year, which is taking place at the NEC from the 1st – 3rd November. Whilst BrakeSafe also being highlighted at the Freight in the City show on stand P1.
BrakeSafe is a handbrake failsafe system compatible with most vehicles in the bus and coach industry. The system automatically applies the vehicle handbrake if the driver forgets when leaving the vehicle. The system is currently the only one of its kind in the marketplace that automatically applies the handbrake if the driver forgets, even if the ignition is off, rather than just giving an audible warning. Drivers can become overloaded by alarms due to countless systems using them in the vehicle to warn them about issues. The system has the ability to prevent countless numbers of rollaway and runaway incidents that could occur every year.
BrakeSafe is Vision Techniques’ award winning failsafe handbrake system. So far this year, the system has won two awards, winning the Innovation Award at the Tipex and Tankex show and then winning the Innovation Award at the Motor Transport Awards. BrakeSafe has attended 4 different awards evenings so far this year and will be at the CIWM Fleet Safety Awards.

The revolutionary system has featured at VT Safety Days across the UK at interactive events in Skipton, Sunderland, West Dunbarton, and the West Midlands. The feedback from the attendees about BrakeSafe was outstanding with many saying it was ‘excellent’ and ‘revolutionary’. The 2017 Safety Roadshow agenda is to be announced in the near future.
