Reversing alarms are fitted to heavy-duty vehicles to prevent accidents and are essential to vehicle safety.
But excessive noise after dark from refuse collection vehicles can cause complaints from local residents.
People are often disturbed by noise pollution from large vehicles reversing.
VT Alarmalight combines an alarm with flashing LED lights to act as a visual warning and audible alert when a vehicle is reversing.
When the volume is turned down or muted, the light is intensified, continuing to provide an effective warning while allowing local residents to rest peacefully.
VT Alarmlight is also ideal for industries such as Quarrying and Mining, since sites are dirty and dusty, which makes visibility impaired and operating a vehicle particularly hazardous.
Reduced visibility can lead to collisions with other vehicles, plant and on-site objects. Reversing accidents can also occur, as reversing alarms may not be audible to workers wearing ear protectors.
VT Alarmalight can be automatically be engaged when you put your vehicle into reverse, sounding the warning alarm and activating a series of flashing LED lights.
Nigel Armstrong, of Vision Techniques, said: “With a clear audible and visible warning you can be sure others will be aware of your vehicle reversing, preventing accidents in an efficient and cost effective way.”
VT Alarmalight audible warnings can include bleeps, speech or both, depending on the application, and is highly durable and waterproof.
Two or more reversing alarms can be fitted to act in unison if necessary.
