When it comes to truck safety, technology is the only thing to consider. If tyres are under-inflated heat will build up in the tyre that could lead to a blow out.
In the event of a tyre failure, other motorists are put at risk, the vehicle is difficult to control and fitting a new one while on the motorway is highly dangerous.
It is essential to truck safety to check tyres. It is a vital element to vehicle handling – including the brakes, steering, acceleration, braking and suspension.
Under-inflated types also lead to premature tyre wear – because of extra stress of the outside of the tread.
For general truck safety, check your tyres regularly.
