RWM spells success for Vision Techniques!

Vision Techniques had a chance to show off its wares at the start of this month, setting up stall at arguably the biggest exhibition on the recycling and waste management sector’s annual calendar.

The Resource and Waste Management (RWM) Show, held at the NEC in Birmingham from the 10th – 12th September, attracted over 750 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors from a wide range of industries.

The three-day event, hosted in partnership with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), is a sterling opportunity for businesses to network and display their latest innovations in a bid to catch the eye of industry leaders.
With its range of vehicle safety innovations designed specifically to help companies enhance the security of their work vehicles, Vision Techniques spent the three days at RWM 2013 showcasing some of its latest and most popular products to visitors and fellow exhibitors.

Andy Kelly, Business Development Manager at Vision Techniques, commented:

“We were so pleased to exhibit at this year’s RWM Show. It was a fantastic expo, and probably the busiest trade show we’ve attended all year – which is saying something! Foot-fall to our stand was excellent – visitors and exhibitors were really interested to see we have on offer.

“VT Live™ stole the show, as expected, but there was also a lot of interest around our Banksman Auto Braking system, and a large number of visitors who were excited about the launch of our MotionEye system.”

Vision Techniques partnered up with Dennis Eagle, the UK market leader in refuse vehicles, in a bid to show some of its most popular safety innovations in action.

Dennis Eagle, who unveiled their new “Elite 6” Euro 6 model for the first time at the show, fitted the vehicle with VT Live™, Banksman Auto Braking, and VT Overview™ systems. A live camera feed allowed customers at Vision Techniques’s stand to view the images.

VT Live™ is a ground-breaking system that has already been fitted on hundreds of fleet vehicles across the UK, offering companies a new level of security.

The system streams live video footage from vehicle-mounted cameras to any location using remote connectivity, helping to significantly reduce accidents as transport managers use the system to identify and tackle any un-safe practices among drivers.

And, in addition to boosting vehicle safety, VT Live™ also safeguards against fraudulent insurance claims made against companies; vital for a company with a large and active fleet.

Vision Techniques’s VT MotionEye system, launched only last month, is a cutting-edge product for the rear vision technology market. The system, which can detect moving hazards in all rear blind spots – and bring them to drivers’ attention – can be fitted as a brand new system or integrated with current equipment for an all-round safety upgrade.
