Vision Techniques, vehicle safety experts for over 25 years, are officially launching their failsafe handbraking system at the CV Show this year.
The new system is the first of its kind in the industry to automatically apply the brake if the driver attempts to leave the vehicle – effectively preventing any risk of vehicle runaway. And Vision Techniques will be demonstrating it at the show.
The system has been developed in-house by technical manager Nigel Armstrong, who has been developing the system for the past six months.
“After various incidents seen in the news and online and with feedback from some of our biggest customers we knew the market needed a system that would prevent rollaway without driver interaction – after a lot of testing we’ve been able to create something really unique to the industry.”
VT BrakeSafe had its first prototype installed at Craven Council where fleet manager Steve Parkinson quickly saw the failsafe systems potential.
“As soon as we saw the capability of this braking system we were interested in getting this system for our vehicles – it ticks a massive box in vehicle safety which I’m surprised no-one else has been able to fill – we’re really pleased to be the first waste council to have this impressive technology.”
Vision Techniques also held their own Safety Day in Skipton where they demonstrated VT BrakeSafe handbrake failsafe system and VT StopSafe to 80 attendees. And the feedback they gained from the event was outstanding and really showed how unique the two systems are.
The one-of-a-kind product will be shown at this years’ Commercial Vehicle show at the NEC. For more information on BrakeSafe please call us on 01254 679717 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
