Local councils intrigued by new tech at Wish Safety Day

This month we presented a showcase of our latest product upgrades to local councils, including Leeds, Scarborough and East Riding of Yorkshire, as well as demonstrating our technology on a Dennis Eagle Euro-6 refuse collection vehicle.

Our latest products and vehicle technology was in the spotlight during the Wish Safety day on April 1st as safety transport managers from across the region attended an event to improve vehicle safety.

Digital video recording systems were the highlight of the event, with high levels of interest in how DVR systems can stream live footage and tag specific events for later review and download. We also highlighted recent developments to the VTLive system to allow viewing from mobile and tablet devices from any location, at any time.

Guests of the Wish Safety day were then invited to see our products in action on a Dennis Eagle refuse collection vehicle at the stadium, which was showcasing our Banksman radar system, our Overview 360° camera system and our TurnSafe cyclist awareness systems. We also demonstrated VT Live from our own VT vehicle, which was on site with its full range of cameras, monitors and DVR recording units.

“I expect great things from this meeting. We’ve been able to discuss safety with 26 delegates from around the region, and meeting with individuals can often be difficult so this event has been fantastic for that. ” Added Andrew Kelly, sales manager for Vision Techniques.

“Events like this are vital to us to speak to local authorities about how our technology can improve vehicle safety.”
