Vision Techniques has held three days so far that have been greatly successful and a fourth Safety Day is planned in the Midlands on 13th October 2016.
The Safety Days have all been well attended and have had fantastic feedback about the safety systems. So far Vision Techniques have held events in Skipton, Sunderland and Scotland, and in October an event will be held at Bruntingthorpe Proving Grounds.
The two new systems, BrakeSafe and VT StopSafe, have been demonstrated at the events and delegates have all had their say about what they think about these two safety products. Ian Howat from East Ayrshire Council said “this is the future of health and safety systems” whilst talking about BrakeSafe.
BrakeSafe will prevent rollaways and runaways from happening by automatically applying the brake if the vehicle operator forgets to and then attempts to leave the vehicle. A voice warning will also give instructions to apply the brake and reset the system.
VT StopSafe reduces the vehicle’s speed while simultaneously bringing it to a controlled stop using the braking system. The system is activated using a secure emergency button installed to the vehicle’s dashboard, allowing the crew to react to an emergency situation.
Chris Murphy from CIWM, who spoke at the Skipton Safety Day will also be speaking at the Midlands event. Vision Techniques are also pleased to announce that Rhys Williams from the RHA will also be speaking at the event.
The event is free for anyone to attend and will run from 9am to 3pm. It will take place at Brungtingthorpe Proving Ground on 13th October. For more information, please contact Pippa on 01254 679 717 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
