Christmas tragedies highlight road safety

After a number of disasters on Britain’s roads over Christmas, never before have we been more aware of the importance of accident prevention.

Two young brothers and their aunt were killed after they were overturned on the M6 in Staffordshire.

And in a separate incident, two people were killed and a third person was left with serious injuries following a crash in Hampshire, bringing the number of people who lost their lives on Britain’s roads on Christmas Day to five.

These tragic accidents were two of several crashes over the Christmas period.

The message is clear – road safety is of paramount importance and disaster can strike at any time if precautions are not taken.

Vision Techniques takes safety very seriously and is constantly developing products to combat accidents on Britain’s roads.

To help prevent unnecessary accidents, Vision Techniques is currently developing the Lane Departure Warning System, designed to warn drivers when a vehicle begins to move out of its lane on a motorway or duel carriageway.

The system will warn the drivers via a visual, audible and/or vibration warning.

Cutting edge new developments at Vision Techniques are driven by thoroughly analysing critical vehicle safety and security issues and using the latest hi-tech equipment to combat them.

Jonathan Peach, Manager at Vision Techniques, said: “We have become the company we are today because we work with our clients to produce the most effective safety and security systems in the world.”
