Vision Techniques had a very successful day at the Labyrinth Safety Circle event showcasing their rollaway prevention system BrakeSafe.
On 9th March 2017, Vision Techniques attended the latest Labyrinth Safety Circle Meeting showcasing their new product BrakeSafe, a rollaway prevention system. The event took place at the British Gypsum site at Barrow upon Soar, British Gypsum being the first company to have BrakeSafe installed onto their vehicles.
The Labyrinth Safety Circle is group comprised of manufacturers, retailers and logistics operators (3PLs and 4PLs). Meetings are held once a quarter, each meeting having its own specific logistics safety theme. Some of the themes that have been covered include Fitness to Drive, FLT safety, Accident Investigations, Workplace Transport and Pedestrian Segregation.
The latest event held on March 9th was focusing on the prevention of vehicle run-aways, and involved Vision Techniques in the discussion of this important topic. The event involved a live demonstration of Vision Techniques’ award winning BrakeSafe®, a system that can completely remove the risk of vehicle rollaways. The event then finished with an open discussion regarding the risk of vehicle runaways and the preventative measures to adopt.
The group is solely for those who have responsibility for preventing accidents and incidents in the logistics sector. The group straddles the twin disciplines of workplace transport safety and occupational road risk. Most importantly, it provides a safe and secure environment for like-minded professionals to share the measures they have developed to save lives, as well as talking openly about important lessons learned. These meetings are solely for those operating in the logistics sector and is a forum for peers to get together in a trusted environment and learn from each other.
Steve Smith, BrakeSafe Sales Manager, explained, “The group is facilitated by trusted industry experts Labyrinth Logistics Consulting, whose MD Ruth Waring FCILT is a well-known face in the logistics safety world. Ruth is also the founder of a successful logistics networking group and has four years’ experience in organising similar events.”
“The event gave us a great chance to highlight the key benefits of having the BrakeSafe system installed onto vehicles. And the close relationship between British Gypsum and ourselves aided the high calibre system in proving its capabilities.”
The event was co-hosted by Vision Techniques and British Gypsum, and was attended by key figures from the road transport industry, including: Coca Cola, Cemex, Flogas and several others.
