Vision Techniques will be officially launching their award winning system VT BrakeSafe which prevents vehicle rollaway at Hillhead in Buxton this year.
VT BrakeSafe is a handbrake failsafe system compatible with most vehicles in the construction industry. The system automatically applies the vehicle handbrake if the driver forgets when leaving the vehicle. Currently, VT BrakeSafe is the only vehicle safety system in the marketplace that automatically applies the handbrake if the driver forgets, even if the ignition is off. The system has the ability to prevent countless numbers of rollaway and runaway incidents that could occur every year.
VT BrakeSafe is Vision Techniques’ award winning failsafe handbrake system after recent success at Tipex, where it won the Innovation Award. BrakeSafe is also shortlisted in two other Innovation categories at both the Road Transport and National Waste and Recycle Awards, taking place next month.
The revolutionary system has featured at VT Safety Days across the UK at interactive events in Skipton, Sunderland, and West Dunbarton, with more planned in the coming months. Direct consumer feedback from the attendees of these events was immensely positive for the BrakeSafe system, with many visitors saying that it was “revolutionary” and “excellent”. Paul Reid, Aberdeen City council, said, “Very useful device and should be installed as part of the build”. Whilst Ian Leyden at West Dunbarton council said, “It is a terrific system, will benefit our fleet. Any system that benefits the drivers should be fitted to fleet.”
Vision Techniques will also be demonstrating their popular SensorVision, SensorVision: DRIVE and VMS radar systems that prevent collisions at both the front and rear of the vehicle, along with our new ‘VT Evo’ wireless cameras and our industry-leading ‘VT Overview’ 360° vehicle camera systems.
