Vision Techniques attended the Fleet Safety Awards with their new system BrakeSafe that was highly recommended for the Innovation Award.
Vision Techniques were once again at another awards evening for their innovative product BrakeSafe. The system was nominated for the Innovation Award at the Fleet Safety Awards that took place at the NEC last night.
This was the fourth awards evening for the system this year, with it winning the innovation award at the Motor Transport Awards as well as at the Tipex and Tankex Awards. BrakeSafe was highly recommended in its award category at the Fleet Safety Awards, giving it the next best commendations by the officials.
BrakeSafe is a new and unique system to the motor transport industry as it is the first system to prevent runaways and rollaways. Other systems similar to BrakeSafe simply give a warning to the driver about the handbrake’s position. The system innovated by Vision Techniques will apply the brakes if the driver attempts to leave the vehicle whilst forgetting to apply the handbrake.
As well as being nominated for an award, Vision Techniques sponsored the Global Road Safety award last night which was won by Fundacion MAPFRE. Vision Techniques would like to congratulate them on their fantastic win.
Vision Techniques are also holding a Safety Day on the 13th October at Bruntingthorpe Proving Grounds to demonstrate some of their systems including BrakeSafe. The event is free for anyone to attend.
