There’s a new team in town

Posted on 16th May, 2019 by Charlotte Coop

We are excited to announce some new additions to the VT service team.
These guys are responsible for organising the installation of your shiny new kit to your vehicles. So, when you need to know when your kit is being fitted these are the people on the other end of the phone.
It goes without saying they know their stuff, they are natural organisers, problem solvers with a wealth of customer service experience to ensure you get a five-star service every time. They are a friendly bunch and their aim is to make the installation process as smooth as possible from start to finish.
We thought we’d ask them a few questions so you can get to know them a little bit better.
So, say hello to………

Helen brings a wealth of customer service experience to VT, she’s always smiling, and she will go out of her way to help you with your enquiry, she’s a great addition to the team and we welcome her into the VT Family.

Favourite Film?
Die Hard. Obviously. There is no other correct answer here.

If you could invite 3 people alive or dead who would they be?
Rembrandt, to ask him about his life, his highs and extreme lows, not to mention The Nightwatch. How? Why? What sort of mind could consider such a colossal undertaking? Stephen Fry would certainly have a space for dinner, a titan in conversation, just imagine the topics! And…. Ru Paul. Because you just have to.

If you could have only one drink for the rest of your life what would it be?
Mimosas. There is no situation in life which is not improved by a mimosa. Birthday? Breakfast mimosa. Christmas? Festive mimosa. Tuesday? Why, it’s a Tuesday mimosa!

You may have already spoken to Laura; she has been part of the VT team for 2 years. What Laura doesn’t know about the service department is not worth knowing about. Her sense of fun and quick wit will make you smile even on a bad day. Keep up the good work Laura.

Favourite Film
oooo it’s a tough one, so many to choose from –anything to do with Serial Killers LOL!

If you could invite 3 people alive or dead who would they be?
Idris Elba (because he is well fit), Beyoncé (because I want to show her my moves – I’d have her a dance off any day) and Kevin Hart (for a right good crack)

If you could have only one drink for the rest of your life what would it be?
Ribena 100%. Can’t beat a right good glass of Ribena!

Lisa comes to VT from a utilities background. She is extremely organised and efficient with many years co-ordination experience under her belt. You will get to recognise her dulcet Lancashire tones and infectious laugh. Welcome to the team Lisa.

Favourite Film
The Lorax (since having my daughter my mind is cartoons!)

If you could invite 3 people alive or dead who would they be?
Freddie Mercury the great entertainer
Jack Nicholson, I bet he could tell a good story
Tom hardy well you need a bit of eye candy

If you could have only one drink for the rest of your life what would it be?
Gotta be a brew!!!

Last but not least is Paul. Paul is our Service Manager or “Service Guru” as we like to call him. We have had the pleasure of working with Paul for over 5 years. and as we continue to grow Paul plays a vital role in delivering our service strategy. Paul is responsible for the smooth running of the department, and nobody works harder than Paul to ensure we exceed our customers expectations. He uses his natural organisational and problem-solving skills to ensure that your VT experience is second to none, all delivered to you in his unique down to earth style.

At VT we are committed to providing you with everything you need to make the unsafe, safe, the invisible visible and the unsecure secure, it’s in our DNA.
I’m sure you will join us in welcoming our new team members and wishing them well on their new VT journey.

How can dashcams and vehicle cameras affect insurance?

Posted on 14th May, 2019 by Charlotte Coop

We’ve covered the steady rise of dashcams before on our blog, and how they’re being increasingly used by everyone from private motorists to larger commercial vehicles. There’s no question that they’re becoming a more popular type of vehicle camera than ever before; their practical advantages are clear when it comes to proving liability in court, saving drivers and fleet managers a lot of time, money and hassle.
