VT Reverse Alarm Inhibitor Kit prevents accidents by addressing the problem of switching off your reversing alarms.
The system is designed for urban areas at night where the alarm could disturb residents.
By allowing drivers to disable audible alarm before engaging reverse gear, the innovative system ensuring the reversing alarm isn’t left switched off.
The system automatically resets itself as soon as the driver disengages reverse gear and selects a forward gear.
Unlike other systems, VT Reverse Alarm Kit can never be left turned off. It has to be a conscious decision by the driver after he has made sure his reversing procedure is safe.
This innovative, yet simple device will prevent vehicle operators from having to worry about leaving reversing alarms switched off.
VT Reverse Alarm Inhibitor Kit can be purchased as a separate product to work in conjunction with vehicles, which already have reverse alarms installed.
Complete with an AVR80 reverse alarm, dash mounted switch and potted inhibitor terminal box, VT Reverse Alarm Inhibitor Kit allows the driver to disable the reverse bleeper prior to engaging reverse gear.
It will then automatically rest itself, as soon as the driver disengages reverse gear and selects a forward gear.
If the driver wishes to stop the bleeper from sounding on the next reverse manoeuvre, once again he must press the dash mounted, non-latching ‘kill switch’ before selecting reverse.
A twin core cable is required from the bleeper mounted at the rear of the vehicle to the inhibitor box.
The push button switch c/w description overlay sticker is mounted in the dash area and wired back to the inhibitor. Then, a reverse feed is taken to the inhibitor from an area such as the fuse box.
