Banksman

The Banksman is and an intelligent, programmable reverse radar system that has been developed for use on RCV's and other large waste collection vehicles, especially those operating in busy urban environments. 

The purpose of the Banksman Intelligent Radar is to monitor the area to the rear of the vehicle when reverse gear is selected.  Should a potential hazard encroach into the defined rear protection zone, the radar will detect its presence and audibly alert the operator forcing reference to the rear vision monitor and mirrors to assess the danger visually before taking the appropriate action.

Banksman Intelligent Radar provudes a reliable audible and visual reminder to the driver to look at his monitor and mirrors to identify hazards, such as third party vehicles and property, but more importantly, people who may have walked into the blind hazard zone behind the vehicle.
